I can’t believe this is the end of the summer holidays week 4! This means Mia starts school in just over 2 weeks’ time and I must get a move on with getting her uniform and school shoes sorted out! So this week we have been pottering around a little bit, getting some jobs done and spending time together before Mia goes to school. We have also been preparing for Mario’s birthday which is on Monday!

We didn’t do anything exciting until Thursday this week (seriously don’t know where 3 days went!) when we met up with friends at Stoke Bardolph. I haven’t been for years and years and I had forgotten just how pretty it is there! We had a lovely walk, watched a canal boat go through the lock and it was boiling hot so of course we stopped off for an ice cream!

On Friday, Mario went out after work so Mia and I had Mia’s 1st takeaway pizza for tea! I wasn’t sure if she would like it as although she loves pizza, we either home make them or buy the really little ones from co-op. She absolutely loved it and she thought it was a real treat! Later on, she went upstairs to play and at bath time (around 15mins later) I went up to get her and she was fast asleep in bed! She must have been shattered!

On Saturday Mia stayed at mums overnight so Mario and I went out to celebrate his upcoming birthday. We had such a busy day (Mia was at her glasses check-up and I had my hair cut) so we nipped out for some yummy dinner at Red Dog Saloon and we were actually home and in pj’s for 8:45!!

After a restful night without being woken up at 7am, we went off to Window to the Womb to have a scan as we want to find out if we are having a boy or a girl this time so look out for an announcement next week! Then we picked Mia up from mums, she had a great time there but we were all so tired when we got home! We managed to fit in giving Mario his birthday presents as we won’t see him on his birthday and even had a cake for him! So that’s Summer Holidays Week 4 done! Check out next weeks update!
