Mario is really into his watches and whilst he can only dream of owning a Patek Philippe or Rolex, he does have some nice watches in his collection. I’m always looking for the perfect birthday or Christmas present for him so when I was asked if we would like to be sent a Globenfeld Limited Edition Antique Blue Automatic Watch, I knew Mario would be really interested!

The Globenfeld brand is not one I was familiar with however they have been creating beautiful timepieces that are both stylish and practical for a very long time! Their new range is specifically designed for the fashion conscious and also the sports orientated and part of their new Automatic range includes the Limited Edition Antique Blue Automatic Watch we were sent.

Globenfeld Limited Edition

The watch face itself (43mm in diameter) is textured centurion white with stunning Etonian blue indices and matching hands, surrounded by Edwardian silver. The watch face boasts 3 sub dials; a minute and 24 hour counter, a seconds hand counter and a sun and moon display (for night and day). The crystal glass face is made of a scratch resistant mineral so the watch can stay looking newer for longer.

If you need to clean your watch strap or face there are lots of products on the market, a specific product for watch polishing is a great purchase and an essential in your jewellery cleaning set.

Globenfeld Limited Edition

The watch contains over 110 individual intricately moving parts and 20 jewelled movements that do not require batteries as it is fully automatic as well as being only 76.8g in weight. The watch is designed with a gold toned open-dial skeleton and a silver case-back skeleton so that the mechanical movements of the watch can be seen clearly which gives you the reassurance of accurate movements and is a really lovely feature.

Globenfeld Limited Edition

The watch also has a high grade tobacco brown leather strap which anchors the casing of the watch with comfort and the ability to adjust the clasp to size makes it the perfect lightweight watch.

Globenfeld Limited Edition

Mario has been wearing the Globenfeld Limited Edition Antique Blue Automatic Watch for the last few years now and it has become his everyday watch which is amazing! It’s a lovely looking watch and could easily be worn as an everyday watch or a watch just for special occasions as it looks really smart. He did say that the instructions that come with the watch in the box do not actually list this watch model so if you have not had an automatic watch before, you may not know how it works and you risk damaging it as there is an art to winding them however this information is easily found on their website. With a price of £79.99, the watch makes the perfect birthday or Christmas gift for a man that wants a stylish yet affordable watch and I’m pretty sure that Mario is really chuffed with this one!
