Before having Lottie, I was really into my fitness. I loved working out at home and did everything from HIIT workouts to Yoga poses. When about 7 months pregnant with Lottie, I managed to damage my rotator cuff in my shoulder which meant I couldn’t workout properly to the same level again! You can skip to Workout
Since Lottie turned 1, I have started to exercise again and although I go to a baby-wearing fitness class and go for a power walk once a week, I was looking for something else to do. I started looking at online workouts again as they are easier (and cheaper!) when you have a little one crawling around.
After doing a bit of research I have discovered some great workouts and this week I thought I would share a great ab workout. The reason I think its fab is because its just 15 minutes long, but you can really feel the burn! I need to be able to do short, sharp workouts as I usually have Lottie crawling around or a very limited nap time to do things in!
Here are the exercises and there is a handy infographic below too:
Each exercise is done for 50 seconds with a 10 second rest.
Repeated 3 times round
- Bicycle crunches
- Flutter kicks
- High knees
- Toe touch crunches
- Russian twist
See how many you can do in this time and then try and improve next time you do it. Can be done with dumbbells for an extra work out!
Try and complete it once a week alongside other workouts.
Let me know how you get on!
