With Valentine’s Day now fast approaching, there will be many of you experiencing that dreaded last minute panic over what to get your other half this year! With Christmas and New Year plus Lottie’s birthday just gone, it’s hard to think about anything else so soon after!

We don’t tend to do a lot on Valentine’s day itself, what with just having Christmas and New Year, and our anniversary in December! We usually cook a nice meal together and put a little bit more effort into having a nice pudding. We even have a gin or two! We used to go out for a few drinks over the weekend but as we have now got 2 children, it’s becoming harder and harder to spend it just the two of us! This year we haven’t even spoken about what we are doing for it and I haven’t even planned a meal for the evening either!

Then there are the gifts; we aren’t really into cheesy gifts so Mario tends to stick to the usual chocolates and flowers for me (which is perfectly fine by me!) and I tend to stick to the practical, useful gifts for him! However I do try and make an effort so this year I have some lovely personalised wrapping paper by Pretty Gifted to wrap Mario’s presents in! I love how shiny the gifts look and the fact you can add any personalisation you want is really special!
