Rediscovering my Hair with the Xtava 5 in 1 Curling Wand

5-in-1-barrels.jpg

If you are a regular reader of my blog you will know how utterly useless I’am at doing my own hair! It ends up either being straightened or put up in a loose bun and that is pretty much it! I love going my hairdresser as he is so good at knowing what I like and is always encouraging me to try curling my hair, something which he does every time for me and I love! I recently got the opportunity to try out the Xtava Curling Wand which I found really great and I actually managed to use myself but Xtava have been kind enough to send me their 5 in 1 Curling Wand this time to try out to see how I get on with the various barrels and slightly more settings.

5 in 1 Curling Wand

The Xtava Satin Wave 5 in 1 Curling Wand is very similar to the curling wand I used before however it has a few more features and some great options to create different styles of curls for your hair. The 5 in 1 Curling Wand comes with 5 interchangeable tourmaline barrels which can be very easily switched on and off the wand itself to create different sizes of perfect curls in your hair. There are 9 temperature settings between 90-210°C so you can use the ideal settings to suit you. There is a 60 minute auto sleep mode function so no more worrying about whether you left your curling wand on and the box also includes a heat resistant glove and a travel case to put everything in easily to store away.

I absolutely love Xtava’s packaging designs, the boxes are really pretty and the fact the Curling Wand itself comes in a lovely black box makes it feel really special and high quality as well as being a great gift to give someone else. The barrels included are sized between 0.76cm and 3.2cm so you can choose whether you would like smaller tighter curls or larger wider curls. The larger barrels include a clamp to keep long hair in place and the smaller barrels are idea for wrapping short or medium hair around. The choice of temperature settings means you have even more control over what type of curl will suit your hair type.

I really have enjoyed trying out the different barrels with this 5 in 1 Curling Wand and the fact I can choose the curl type that suits me just gives me greater control over my hair style and much more scope to try out new things with it. You definitely need the heat resistant glove as it’s very easy to burn your fingers when wrapping your hair around the barrel however used properly, there should be no issues. The Xtava Curling Wand is currently available for £45.99 and is on offer for half that at the moment from Amazon so it’s a great price for someone, like me, who has no clue what they are doing with their hair and I’m really enjoying having my hair in curls rather than poker straight or pulled up every day!

Disclaimer: we were sent the curling wand in order to write this however all opinions and views are honest and our own.
