Before having Mia I was a regular at my local nail salon as I fell in love with having my nails painted or gelled in beautiful colours. However, once Mia was born I didn’t have the time or money to spend on myself every 3 weeks so I looked for other ways of ‘doing’ my nails. As a busy mum I don’t have the time (or energy!) to spend painting my nails in the evenings, nor do my nails ever last very long! I settled on a home gel kit but I’m always on the lookout for new ways of giving my nails a fresh look so when I saw an advert to review DinkiBelle nail wraps, I was really interested in finding out more about them!

DinkiBelle nail wraps are exactly what they say they are; beautifully designed wraps for fingernails, that last up to 14 days. Each pack contains 2 strips of 10 varying sized wraps ready for you to stick straight onto your nails. The amazing thing about the wraps themselves is that they are non-toxic. This means that they are free from formaldehyde, diabutyl phthalate, tuolene, camphor and formaldehyde resin so provide a strong, protective barrier helping to reduce damage to your nails.

We were kindly sent the Purple Dream nail wraps to try and I really love the design of them. The wraps themselves are pre-cut into 10 different sizes and (as I found) if you have smaller nails, you can easily get 2 applications from the 1 strip of wraps, which is great! The wraps themselves are really simple to apply to the nails;

1. Clean and lightly buff the nail

2. Select the correct size and remove the clear cover

3. Lift the wrap using the silver tab

4. Apply to the nail and smooth out, filing the excess off using a downward motion

5. You can then apply a top coat to help protect the wrap and keep it on longer.

The first time I applied the wraps, I have to admit it didn’t go well and I was really rubbish at it! It definitely took me a second attempt to work out the best way to apply them and I got better as I practiced. There are also some great tips on the website and videos on YouTube. It’s really useful to have 20 wraps in each pack as it meant I could practice a second time with them otherwise I would have been a bit disappointed (totally user issue, nothing to do with the wraps themselves!).

To remove the wraps, you simply peel them off and this does not affect your nails in any way and is so much easier than soaking nails or using any type of remover. So quick and easy!

DinkiBelle nail wraps are a great way of adding colour to your nails without the hassle of painting or gelling them! I really liked the Purple Dream design and found them (after practice) really simple and easy to apply. There is currently free shipping on orders over £10 and at £6.99 a pack, they are great value and I will definitely be buying a set for myself! I’m looking at the Spring Blossom design next!
