We go out for the day quite a lot and normally end up at nice country parks or we go further afield so it’s really handy to make sure we have enough drinks and snacks to keep us all going as well as having drinks that are easy to carry and not heavy or bulky like bottles of water can be. Mia doesn’t drink a lot of juice mainly because as a family we don’t however I find juice boxes and bottles far more readily available in good children’s sizes than bottles of water and so when we are out for the day, she normally ends up with some sort of juice drink.

We were asked if we would like to try out some Appy Kids Co character juices (Paw Patrol and Peppa Pig Juice) and as they come in various cartons and packs, I thought it might be interesting to see how they would fare on a day out with us!

Appy Food and Drinks, founded in 2012, were established to develop responsible ideas to revolutionise the way we think about and consume food and drink. They consist of individual companies; Go Life, Aloha Goodness and Appy Kids Co who we are focusing on today. Appy Kids Co have created a range of kids fruit juices, with well-loved characters such as Peppa Pig, The Gruffalo, Paw Patrol, and Minions. With a range of different cartons and pouches predominantly made from a renewable raw material meaning the material used can be re-produced or re-grown, they use ethically sourced premium ingredients.

Peppa Pig Juice

We were sent a box of Paw Patrol orange juice, Paw patrol apple juice and Peppa Pig tropical juice which all went down well with Mia. She absolutely loved seeing her favourite Paw Patrol characters on the juice cartons! Each fruit juice is created with 100% natural ingredients and made with real fruits that are sweetened with natural stevia plant. This means they are lower in calories and sugar and are therefore kinder to teeth. Suitable for vegetarians, they consist of nothing artificial and are made up of at least 50% fruit juice and spring water so they are not only tasty and refreshing but also a healthier option.

On each box there is a code that can be scanned using the Appy App which then unlocks exciting activities for your child. The juices themselves are really tasty and definitely not as sweet as other similar juices on the market that do not use natural sweeteners. The packs and cartons are really useful to pop into my bag for a day out and I can carry more of them around with us than other drinks. They will also be really useful to pop into Mia’s lunchbox when she has one for school.

The only thing I wasn’t sure of at first was that the ingredients shown on the cartons and packs is for 100ml so at first the calories and sugar content look really, really good however the cartons are actually 200ml in size, doubling these figures meaning that unless you look closely, you may think they are slightly better than they are! However the contents sizes are clearly labelled on the packaging for your reference, this is just a personal gripe of mine.

The cartons and packs are currently available at Ocado, Tesco, Whole foods Market, and Spar and you can find further information at Appy Food and Drinks on social media.

These juices look great. My youngest LOVES Peppa and Paw Patrol and will be doing full days at nursery soon, so I will be needing to pack her a lunch box and these look ideal!

Great giveaway, I know our little ones are going to love the juice especially if it’s to do with paw patrol and Peppa pig. They absolutely adore them all.
